Deluxe

Our first futon is called the "Deluxe" it has 5cm of high density foam plus four pads of beautiful white teased cotton, each pad weighing approximately 4.5kg. The overall thickness or depth is approximately 20cm.

Wool

Our wool style mattress is quite different. Wool enjoys properties not found in cotton, its longer fibre creates an insulating factor and the lanolin found in wool repels moisture.

Wool futons are warmer in winter and cooler in summer, much softer and have added compression resitance because of the nature of wool’s longer fibre length. These qualities also tend to give wool futon mattresses a longer life span.

The first of the wool futon mattresses at Real Futons is simply called the "Wool". It is made with a high density foam core, three layers of cotton and two layers of high quality wool.

Wool Super

The "Wool Super" is just that – SUPER!!

Four layers of wool, a high density foam core and three layers of cotton, making a fat, soft and fluffy mattress but still with the great underlying support our futons give. Come into one of our stores and try one out....We keep a loud gong handy for those customers who fall asleep on our Wool Super mattresses!!


Latex Core

Our Latex Core mattress contains only "natural fibres"; it does not contain any manmade chemicals, springs or synthetic fabrics. With a 5cm natural latex core, four pads each of soft Australian wool and fluffy white cotton, encased in a 100% cotton jacket, it is a supremely comfortable mattress. Latex is derived from the rubber plant and is highly resilient, providing the futon mattress outstanding durability. It is also naturally anti microbial and resistant to dust mites. This mattress is environmentally friendly and has a lower carbon footprint. We highly recommended it.

Latex Premium

The "Latex Premium" is our PREMIER mattress.

With 15cm of natural latex in total, including a 5cm layer of "Super Soft" and two layers of high grade natural wool on top, this mattress provides a superior sleeping experience. Also, because of its construction it has qualities other futons do not possess. This mattress will not compress, so the comfort level does not change over time. Further, it does not require rolling, airing or flipping as traditional futons do. Come in and try this mattress it's comparable with any "Latex" mattress you will find in other bedding shops and at a much lower cost.
